There are a few spaces available at the yoga class which runs on Thursday evenings in the Community Room. The class is run for residents or anyone working within Hanham Hall.
The classes are for all abilities and are led by Shula. Contact her on 07949 333548 to book your place.

On Tuesday 13th September we hosted a team day for the Environment Agency. Each year staff at the Environment Agency are allowed a day to work as a team on environmental outcomes and we were a great fit. They helped rebuild the bug hotel, cleared some space around our new trees and helped cut back some of the brambles. A few members of Hanham Hall also turned up to help in the work. Once again Peter Smithers was instrumental in arranging a suitable day.
If you know of other local organisations or businesses who would like to do something similar do get in touch. These activities are great for the team and great for our meadows too!
After the success of last year, the goats are set to return on 10th August. They will be here for 3-4 weeks depending on how much and how fast they eat. If they are anything like last years’ tribe it’ll be visit early to avoid disappointment!

At the AGM of the Hanham Hall Residents’ Group (HHRG) on 2nd February 2022 it was not possible to form a committee and therefore the HHRG has not been able to continue.
The HHRG had originally been formed to organise events on behalf of residents, we would encourage individuals or groups of residents who would like to organise future events/activities for the community to apply directly to the CIC for funding.
To apply for funding please complete the application form and email this to Pinnacle. The process will be kept as simple as possible but if you need any help or advice regarding applications please contact Robyn at Pinnacle.
This website, the HHRG email and Notice Board Facebook page will all continue as they are so that they can be used to advertise events and activities. If you would like to receive email updates on what is happening at Hanham Hall please contact the HHRG email and ask to be added to the email group.
Huge thanks to all who have served on the committee or helped arrange events during the time of the HHRG. The events don’t need to stop, but the mechanism for organising these has now changed.
It seems to be a long time since our last community bike ride, but, taking our cue from Eunice, there will be an opportunity to blow away the cobwebs on Saturday, 26th February.
Declining numbers last year mean that this is likely to be our only organized bike ride this year. Our affiliation to Cycling UK ends on 27th March, and a decision was taken at the January meeting of the Residents’ Group not to renew.
We’ll be cycling to The Little Coffee Shop at Saltford, a total distance of about 15 miles. We meet in the Hanham Hall car park at 9.45 a.m. for a prompt 10 a.m. start. The ride will finish at about 12.45 p.m.
Children and young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Although not compulsory, we recommend that all participants wear a helmet. You may also want to bring a face covering and hand sanitizer.

Due to the heavy rain and high winds, the tree planting will now be 10.30am on Thursday 17th at the allotment sheds.
We have been given another batch of trees to replace some of the ones we have lost over the last two years and a few extras to expand our woodland.
These will be arriving on Valentines Day Feb 14th so we would like to get them planted over the following days. There are 50 trees to plant.
We also have to tidy up the material that the gardeners have removed from the pond so would anyone be free on Sunday 30th to do this? It will only take an hour to sort. Again let Peter know if you can help.

We have the joy of a newsletter in November to keep us up to date with all that is happening around the development. You can be reminded of some of the events of the late Summer (Hoedown and Outdoor Cinema) and our wonderful Goat visitors, as well as hear of groups and clubs you could get involved in, and updates from the committees.
There is always opportunity to take part in events or activities which maintain the development – this month’s shout out is for anyone willing to put some time into keeping the planters watered. If not they may well need to be removed.
The environment group has now been running for three years and it’s time to take stock of how we are managing the less formal areas of our estate.
Peter will lead a meeting to discuss this on Tuesday 16th Nov at 7.00pm in the community room. So if you have an interest in our local environment and would like to be part of a team that manage and look after it or you just want to get more enjoyment out of the natural areas around our estate, come along and see what you can do or just find out what is happening.
In an age of environmental turmoil, looking after our own back yard is more important than ever. So let’s make the Hanham meadows diverse, rich in wildlife and beautiful.
Thanks to Street Goat we have the company of 4 goats – Molly, Poppy, Titch and Damo who have moved into the meadow. Do not be tempted to feed the goats as they are here to eat our brambles. Unexpected food can upset their stomachs, so please do not feed them anything.
They are contained by an electric fence so please keep your pets and children away – the shock is mild but it will be unpleasant.
They’ll be with us between 4-8 weeks depending on how quickly they get through the brambles!
